new member Just wanted to introduce myself. Hello to everyone. I am from Ohio and am fairly new to bow hunting. I am shooting a Martin Slayer with a draw length of 28in. draw weight of 65lbs. am looking for a good carbon arrow to shoot. i dont mean to sound stupid, but i dont know how to read the charts. any help is appreciated. thanks. |
Welcome to the forums Jimi. Asking questions is never stupid. It's the folks who don't ask questions and just act like they already know it all that are being stupid. I don't have a good answer for you, but I'll point ol' Buckfever over to this thread. He's buried many an arrow in the backyard. |
welcome to dhc jimi sir. glad to have to with us. you will get a different arrow selection from just about as many hunters as you ask. i like gold tip pro hunters. but they tend to be on the more expensive side. carbon express are also some very good arrows. if you have a sportsmen warehouse in your area their store name arrows are suppose to be the same as a carbon express and a whole lot cheaper. as far as reading an arrow selection chart dont feel dumb. i doubt there are very many hunters out there that actually use this chart. most of the time hunters just go to a bow shop and let them determine what arrow length is correct for you. if i was you i would just go to a bow shop, pick out whatever arrows you like and have them cut them to the correct size to fit your bow. hope this helps and hope you enjoy the site. |
thanks for info  hey guys , just wanted to say thanks for the info. Am looking forward to hunting this year with my compound. the deer here in Ohio are looking big and i can smell the autum leaves just ahead.! |
