Been Thinking Been thinking about trying to buy a new bow again, hopefully by next year I'll be able to get out there maybe even this fall. |
what are you thinking about getting? i am thinking about buying a new one next year. i plan to shoot the hoyt, bowtech, and matthews to see which one i like best. then the next thing i do is figure out if i can afford it or not. |
I was looking at the Diamond Black Ice and the Hoyt Vectix |
10 point on here just bought a Diamond bow several months ago. i think it was the Rapture. its a nice shooting bow. i might need to add the Diamond lineup to the bows i need to shoot before i buy. |
It's amazing how advanced the bows are today. I use to shoot local tournaments when I was younger (20 years ago) and my bow was nothing like what's available today. The bows are much shorter and shoot way faster then what they did back then. The limb and cam technology is out of this world. |
you can say that again. even 10 yrs ago with the old buckmaster. used to think those were pretty awesome. but you know what an arrow dont have to be moving 300 fps to tag a deer. shoot, the Indians used to prob do it with a spear. i wonder how well we as hunters today would do if we used the tools of our ancestors? |
think about it .the indians had a homemade bow and arrow they rode a horesbareback and shot deer and buffalo dead at a full gallop i doubt any of us could do it.when i was little i used to be the indian when we played cowboys and indians:w00t: |
Shooting a deer from horseback with a bow and arrow? I would be lucky to do it with a gun! I am pretty certain I would fall off and get trampled. Indians have my respect |
thats the truth. we shoot bow tournaments from a stand still or sitting down. i wonder how we would do trying to shoot a deer at 10 yds riding a horse bareback. good point joel. and yea i was always tonto in the make beleive games when i was a kid |
