saw a GI today while i was getting the car washed i walked over and said thank you.he was a little taken back then he said thanks and shook my hand we BS'd a little he did 2 tours in Afghanistan and was doing recruiting work now.i said i bet your happy nobody's shooting at you now his reply was thats good but sleeping in my own bed at home every night is the best thing.Makes ya really appreciate the little things in life huh?
