Good morning this morning had two small bucks eating acorns for an hour. Last year I shot the Muzzy MX3 s, but I couldn't get them to shoot strait compared to field tips. Do ya ll sight your bow in just for those broadheads or do they fly strait for you. My bow was paper tuned, I shoot Maxima hunter arrows with blazer vanes. They shot about a foot to the left and low every time.

"Always" sight in with broadheads after on paper with field tips. Sometimes you get lucky and they will fly close, but most time it requires some sight adjustments.

i have always shot muxxy 100's and found they shot just as straight as my field points. last year i tried the mx4's and found they flew about a foot to the left and a little high. i havnt shot them since. i am now considering the rage3 mechanicals. we'll see if theyre as good as they say......

I use Muzzy broadheads and they hold up well and slice and dice. Mine also shoot left compared to fieldtips. I shoot field tips in the spring and early summer then switch to broadheads only later in the summer. I use one set for practice and another for hunting.

i also shoot muzzy 100's and i dont notice any difference in flight from feild points, no sight adjustments needed.

I shoot Muzzy MX-4's and there is a slight difference between the 100gr. practice tips and the 100gr. broadheads but it's very slight.

Are you using the proper shafts for your Bow's draw weight and arrow length?

if you were only inches off by inches I'd say it was you but a foot? there's something wrong there, sounds to me like maybe the Arrow shafts...

Check the Carbon Express ARROW SHAFT CHART <-click and make sure you're using the proper shafts suggested.

Something is amiss with your tuning. Paper tune again then block tune your set up. It does sound like your knock height and also picking up a vein deflection. With fixed blades the slightest flaw is magnified. Keep in mind 1/32" can make a difference. Take a deep breath you have plenty of time to correct it. I did have the same problem with Blazer veins because of how tall they are. After a little tweeking they shot like darts. If all else fails back your poundage off 5lbs and see if it corrects itself. If it does you need a stiffer spline.

I have been shooting New Archery Product "Spitfire" 100 grain mechanicals, for the last 6 years or so and never had a problem. They shoot the same as my field tips. I have 2 friends that switched to the new "Rage" 100 grain mechanicals and they are viscous(sp). Great pass through and blood trails and unbelievable hole they punch through the deer. Think I am going to switch to them next year.

KTL listen. You have a problem with your set up. Switching to mech. does not fix it but only masks it. Fix the problem.
