SHOOT IT.OVER AND OVER AGAIN .when you can put3-5 arrows in a pie plate at 20 yrds ...move back to 25 and settle for nothing less than your first shot hitting the "vitals" area.till then feel fre to go bow hunting and learn/make all the newbie mistakes that we all had to do but please dont try to shoot a deer. One of the worst feelings in the world is trying to track a poorly shoot deer.
sorry for the lecture i just get tired of seeing deer with wounds/arrows sticking out of them every year cuz somebody bought a bow a week before season and says "hey what the heck"
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
