If you don't have a good laser range finder I would suggest you get one. Its well worth the investment. Makes for a more confident shooter, helps with better shot placement, confirms your yardage. I got the 1500 cause I like shooting long range, wood chucks and the like. Anything that makes for a quicker kill is the ethical thing to do. That's is true no matter the height you go. We owe it to the game we are after to give it our all.
