| Like JonCh I too am new to bowhunting. This has been my first full season since I decided to start back hunting after 15 years of non hunting. One thing I can advise you JonCh or lets say one thing I found is a BowFit exerciser, you can get them up to 80# it uses the same motions as you do when pull back on your bow. It will help strenghten those back muscles and get you use to holding that amount of poundage. I recently had elbow surgery and found it works for my therapy. Check them out I attached the link to their website but you can get them at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop (I think got mine from Cabela's). Now to my question, since pick up a bow I have found that trying to get a steady and clear sight picture (with BiFocal glasses) things either seem out of focus or shakey any suggestions on how I can fix that or just live with it? Glasses seem ok since my reading of books and such is fine just seems that when I'm staring through the peep things aren't right. Could it also be that my peep sight isn't in line properly? ![]()

| As a fellow bifocal wearer, I purchased glasses with the smallest bifocal possible so that when I sight through the peep only my regular vision comes into play using the top 3/4 s of the lens. I need clear peep vision to perfectly center the front pin. Once the I know I'm all ined up and ready to shoot the peep mostly goes out of play. I think this is what ronn is saying also. |

| im tending to agree with losing the peep sight.ya dont really need it anyway if you still want one see if they make a bigger one i saw something somewhere where the peep was an upside down "V" Ill try to find the name of that sight

| the peep i use, i can't remember who makes it, is a 3/8 with a translucent yellow lens and a half the size hole in the middle of the yellow lens. the hole has a small black line around it. it splits the string in 2. the ones that split the string in thirds always seem to fog up the peep to me. i really really like the one i got. on one bow I am using that summits hot dot pins. talk about low light being able to see the pin. its a light can't get better than that for low light. |
