there is no better feelin then nailin that first deer with an arrow.. thought i was gonna fall out of my tree stand for 20 mins after i shot.. the rush dont get no better than that. who needs drugs when you can bow hunt
unlike a gun half of the work is getting in range ,then thats when the hunt really starts ...there is just so many things that can and do go wrong..i have friends that shoot all the time ,nothing but perfect shots then there the same ones who always miss the first shot.i guess if it wasnt such a challenge then it would be called shooting instead of hunting .
well im still trying to get one with a bow the deer always stop between 50 and60 yards away but it still is fun thats why they call it hunting instead of killing
you just gotta stay with it.. bow hunting is alot tougher than anything else just for the fact they got to get close to you without them detecting where your at.. thats hard as good as their noses are.. just keep practicing with your bow and make sure your scent is covered well and youll nail one.. good luck and good hunting to ya
i have not had the chance to go bow hunting yet but to hear yall talking about it it has to be exciting. guess i need to go buy a bow first though.. compund or crossbow that is the question??? what bows are yall using and whats the best for the money???

I still get a rush every time I take a deer with a bow. Not quite like that first one but it's enough to keep me comming back for more.

I agree completely. I know people that can drill targets all day but can't cut hair when it comes to shooting a deer, big difference. I use one pin and could care less if I can drill a quarter at thirty yards. I just want to allways hit in a paper plate size target on the first shot on any shot inside thirty yards.
Been hunting with a bow since I was young enough to be dropped off by my parents. Never got a deer with one, but i wont quit. It is true,,,,, nothing like it.
