I'm fairly new to muzzleloading and shoot a flintlock traditions 50 cal. with 70 grains of 2F behind the 177 grain roundball.I have yet to kill a deer with it.With all the concerns about exploding muzzleloaders,is it really necessary to load them with 100 to 150 grains of powder to take a deer?
