Another Extremely Valuable tip for anyone is one I've come to rely heavily on now and that is the ability to use "Googe Earth
" as a scouting tool as well as putting in the actual ground work for my hunts.
If you haven't ever used Google Earth, click the link and download it to give it a try, Im sure you'll be very happy you did.

You can see how it can be helpful locating things like open fields, ponds, lakes, streams, food sources like cornfields, beanfields, etc. etc. etc. You always have the ability to zoom in a lot closer or zoom out for a much braoder view.
