If hunting rifles were all about being practical.....
I can only speak for myself, but I have had alot of fun trying to find the perfect Deer rifle. I have owned several Deer rifles and sold them because they didn't end up delivering any improvement over what I had been using. I still own the Ruger No 1 in 30-06 that I started with. That rifle could last multiple hunters through their lifetimes. My youngest Son hunted with it for a couple of years, and I may be using it this year as my Deer rifle in November. Thank God I don't have to be practical when it comes to my firearms.
