My trail cam takes 4 or 8 AA's. I bought the cam in the spring of 2010 and fed it 8 of the new Duracell ultra batteries. I have left it out for months and in sub freezing temps and I am still on the original batteries. and the battery charge indicator hasn't even moved off of full yet. its not the batteries its the camera and its appetite.
