Live and let live, I say brother. Not my business what you do, nor what my neighbor does, whether they follow one god or another or none. Definitely NOT the government's business either. State, Federal, city, county, they got no business poking in what goes on in my house when it's a MORAL issue. Who is to judge morality? God? So let Him judge not some corrupted elected official. Who they Hell are they?
Yes, a government provides an authority to build roads, provide fire department, police, and draw up LAWS that are criminal but a morality is not to be judged by a government.
And the 1600s and 1700s weren't so great. That's why we have progress. And electricity and the internet.
