ronn, I used to mix up a mineral lick years ago and the deer came to it all year long. The red trace mineral salt I believe has molassas (spell) in it which is used to intice cattle to eat it. Deer are no different when a sugar treat is available they're going to hit it. I would just pour a gallon of cheap molassas all over the mix. Tator there are a lot of bagged stuff to add to the mix to make it much more nutritional for the deer. I think the powdered apple concentrate would be a great attractant to get them on the site. I would have at least two licks for 100 acres as ronn suggested to keep the deer numbers spread out some.
