Just went out and bought a cva wolf. I am super excited since this is my first muzzleloader  . I was wondering if the open sights on this rifle are accurate out of the box? I would like to do some deer hunting in the morning with it.
You probably have 100% chance that the sights will not be sighted in. It would be unethical to take a gun off the shelf and shoot it at game animals without proper sight-in. Don't mean to be harsh here just trying to convey a strong point and prevent a wounded deer.
I agree with hunting man why not head to the range in the morning and maybe head out in the evening when you are confident the rifle is sighted properly.
no its not going to be dead on for every person right out of the box. You need to go to the range, start out at 25 yards and get it on and then back out to 50 yards.
