I was just wondering if my seed I planted last week if the small rain that barely wet the ground then turned hot an dry for a week might have been hurt? Any thoughts on this would be apperciated.
I wonder if I should replant how long does it normally take oats to come up. This is the first time I have ever planted oats, the brassicas look to be doing well but no sign of any thing else coming up also planted the Extreme mix from Whitetail instuite.
I tried oats once in PA and didn't work out. Low rain and nothing will grow well. I'm not familiar with the extreem seed but I would think you could plant almost anything and get some growth if you can get some rain. I would pick a product that is a multi-seed composit and go ahead and plant. Chickory/clover/alfalfa blend should work.
the extreme is for poor soil or hard weather conditions. if your soil is good and it gets enough rain the extreme is wasted. meaning $$ is wasted. from what i understand.
when i plant oats they seem to sprout easy like wheat..
have you dug around a little to see what the seed looks like..
if it still looks good it might be waiting for a bigger rain..
7 days is not to long to sit in the ground
