I bought the Omega in grey laminate with 28" stainless barrel for $420 in 2005. It took me about 6 shots to sight in using 2-50 grain pellets of Triple 7 with a 245 grain hollow point power belt. The first time I took it hunting in Southern NH I drilled a 7 point 140# deer @ approx 140 yards @1:40PM. (I guess 1:40 is my lucky #) I have since dropped a Thompson 1.5 x 4 scope on it. I would recommend the Triple7/Powerbelt combo as they're easy to load, clean and accurate. I would also recommend spending the extra money on stainless especially in humidity prone areas. I stand by Thompson products as the factory is within 30 miles from my home and there service is outstanding. Not sure what will happen now with the Smith/Wesson merger. I often will pick my Omega over my Winchester 1300 scoped shotgun when I hunt because of the yardage capability of Omega...Sweet gun!
