Chris you got a great idea with what you got there. The only thing cheaper is made by Ameristep Ameristep®- Hunting Tree Stands, Ground Blinds and Accessories which I use a Doghouse blind because it's portable.

If you have private property that you can leave your blinds in, the hog wire or bull wire method was in an artical in Buckmasters magazine this months issue showing a 3 sided using two 4' sections and one 8' with a section cut away for your window.

You can put a panel across the top with a tarp cover then bowtines to keep rain out or fully enclose with a door access, but use natural bowtines each year or as needed for that fresh smell etc.

Love your rifle choice as well, good caliber.
