the sps is a fair hunting rifle but if you are looking for a long range rifle there are better platforms to choose form. Rem makes a good one its a 700 but I can't remember what its called. I have one in 22.250. Savage makes one called the long range something or other, with the accutrigger that's a good choice. Shepherd scopes.com shows a guy shooting a deer at over a thousand yards using the savage in .308. sps is more of a utility type rifle. I would suggest that you research very carefully before you buy. just my opinion |
